The CEO of ISP, Dr. Zillay Mariam, was selected to participate in two high level international forums, and given the opportunity to present the impact of the PLEASE project in Pakistan. In both these forums she showcased ISP’s pioneering work on eco-bricks through the PLEASE Project, demonstrating how circular economy solutions can reduce plastic waste, drive innovation, support sustainable construction, improve solid waste management and empower communities for a greener future.

She participated in a high-level workshop on Enhancing Access to Finance for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) for Technological Upgrading and Resource Efficiency, in Vientiane Capital, Lao PDR, held from 19 – 22 August 2025. Representing the private sector Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs), Dr. Mariam highlighted the importance of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting, carbon footprint calculation, and smart technological adoption in shaping the future of businesses. These elements are key to improving sustainability performance, reducing risks, and creating opportunities for innovation and growth.

Her participation reflects ISP Environmental Solutions’ ongoing commitment to advancing sustainability practices, promoting innovation, and ensuring that SMEs play a leading role in building a greener, more resilient future for Pakistan and beyond.

She also participated in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) Connect—one of the U.S. Department of State’s flagship initiatives designed to empower global leaders, build understanding, and foster international cooperation. Her participation underscores ISP Environmental Solutions’ strong commitment to advancing sustainability, promoting innovation, and strengthening the U.S.–Pakistan partnership in the global mission for a cleaner and greener future.
