Clean Bhutan was awarded the Innovation Grant to implement sustainable solutions for tackling plastic waste in Bhutan.

Their project “Polyester Wool Bhutan” will primarily focus on the three thematic areas, Avoid, Intercept, and Redesign by looking at the plastic waste as resources to re-produce educational products as well as models for construction and spare parts, while also creating additional products like cushions and pillow fills for domestic use.

Established on February 5, 2014, Clean Bhutan envisions a Zero Waste Bhutan by 2030. Its mission is to shift the mindset of Bhutanese citizens towards responsible behaviour and sustainable consumption by using resources efficiently.
