CLEAN Maldives from Maldives was awarded an Innovation Grant (IG) to implement the project “Plastic Innovation Challenge for Hospitality and Food service Sector in Maldives.”

The project aims to address the three thematic areas, Avoid, Intercept, and Redesign through various initiatives which include pilots focused on reducing single-use plastics (SUPs) in the food service and hospitality sectors, retrieving and recycling/upcycling efforts, capacity building for deployment partners on inclusive collection and traceability practices, and engagement with industry actors and the surrounding ecosystem.

CLEAN Maldives is an environmental conservation organisation that aims to bring a positive change in the society and the environment of the Maldives as they have the most fragile environment than most other places on earth.
