Eco Waste Solution was awarded the Innovation Grant to implement sustainable solutions for tackling plastic waste in Bhutan.

Their project, “Eco Waste Solutions Initiative: Advancing Waste Management through a Material Recovery Facility in Wangdue Phodrang,” will intercept recyclable plastics and other waste materials, diverting them from landfills for recycling and upcycling.

Founded on June 5, 2016, Eco Waste Solution addresses waste management issues in Bhutan by focusing on maintaining a clean environment and converting waste into valuable resources through recycling, in line with Bhutan’s Gross National Happiness philosophy.
