In collaboration with Capital Development Authority (CDA) and TeamUp/National Incubation Centre (NIC), Coca-Cola embarked on a groundbreaking project to re-carpet a 1-kilometer stretch of road in Islamabad using over 10 MT of recycled plastic, including plastic/PET bottles. While the initiative has been lauded for its environmental benefits, concerns have been raised regarding potential microplastic leakage and the choice of polymer for recarpeting, which could have a higher circularity index through traditional recycling methods.
