The state-of-the-art headquarters covers an area of 1,610 square meters and is expected to serve as a modern office space, bringing SACEP’s member states together in one place to work towards the goal of achieving Plastic Free Rivers and Seas for South Asia (PLEASE). The building is designed according to the Gold Certification standard of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), which is a globally recognized rating system that sets the benchmark for sustainable construction and design. The building is designed to constitute energy-efficient office spaces, solar panels providing 20% of the total energy consumption and inclusive and sustainable infrastructure.
The SACEP HQ is designed with inclusivity in mind, offering facilities that cater to the diverse needs of its occupants. Inclusive infrastructure includes facilities for physically challenged individuals, gender-sensitive sanitary facilities, and a lactation room for breastfeeding mothers.
